It started with my own children.
Becoming a parent changed the way I thought about water safety. My children are often around water, and I wanted them to have the opportunity to learn skills that could help them be safer.
That led me to ISR. I wanted my own children to learn how to float, breathe and use developmentally appropriate Self-Rescue skills. When I looked for lessons, I realized families in the Macomb area didn’t have convenient access to a local ISR instructor.
A new direction, close to home.
I left a 15+ year corporate career to pursue becoming an ISR instructor. I was ready for work I felt genuinely passionate about — work that could make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.
I’ve lived in Michigan my whole life, and bringing ISR to families in the Macomb area feels especially meaningful to me. It’s a chance to help meet a need in my community through work I care deeply about.

From your first questions through your child’s lessons, you’ll work directly with me. I’ll get to know your child as an individual, keep in touch with you throughout the process, and tailor my support to your family.
I become personally invested in each child’s progress and swim journey. I want you to feel informed, comfortable and supported, with room to ask questions and talk things through every step of the way.
